Brand
Alpinestars
Alpinestars has protected racers since 1963. It started with a single motocross boot in a small Italian town and grew into one of the biggest names in racing gear. At Helmetheaven you will find the Alpinestars Supertech M10, the brand's flagship cross helmet.
The history of Alpinestars
Alpinestars was founded in 1963 by Sante Mazzarolo, a leather craftsman in Asolo, in northern Italy. The name comes from the Stella Alpina, the Alpine star flower that grows in the mountains around the town. The company began with hiking and ski boots, but with motocross taking off across Europe, Sante saw a gap and built a boot for the sport.
That first motocross boot, with its steel shin protector and buckle closure, set the standard. By the early 1970s Roger De Coster was winning World Motocross Championships in Alpinestars boots, the start of a run of racing success that never really stopped.
From boots the brand moved into road racing, riding gear, gloves and protection, and later the Tech-Air airbag system. Today Alpinestars is an Italian company active in MotoGP, Formula 1, motocross and more, and in 2023 it launched its first full-face road helmet, the Supertech R10.
What sets Alpinestars apart
Alpinestars builds gear from the racetrack down. The Supertech M10 is the clearest example in the helmet range: a premium cross helmet with a carbon shell and a multi-shell, multi-density design, developed with input from the brand's top motocross and supercross riders.
Supertech M10
The flagship. A lightweight carbon shell in multiple sizes for a better fit and a lower weight, built for professional-level motocross and supercross.
MIPS rotational protection
The M10 carries MIPS, a low-friction layer that lets the helmet rotate slightly on impact to reduce rotational forces to the head.
Race-developed ventilation
A large intake and exhaust vent layout pulls air through the helmet to keep the rider cool at race pace.
A-Head fit system
An adjustable inner system that fine-tunes the fit and position of the helmet on the head, so it sits exactly where the rider wants it.
